The Holy Spirit is not a theory or a force. The Spirit is God and acts as our God to gather a people to Himself.
This book helps us recover the person of the Holy Spirit for our lives and does so by adhering to the biblical text. From Genesis to Pentecost, it presents us with the character of the Spirit and the works that he continues to do until today. This book covers topics such as:

  • The personality and Deity of the Spirit.
  • The inspiration and anointing of the Spirit in the Old Testament.
  • The conviction of sin and regeneration that the Spirit gives.
  • Spiritual gifts.
  • The sanctification of the Spirit.
  • The spiritual revival.

recommendations

"This is the best book I know about the Holy Spirit. It is easy to read. It will truly move your heart and renew your passion for the Holy Spirit."
- Joel Beeke, president of Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary

"This is a very refreshing and welcome book in an age in which the church finds itself in one of two extremes: either ignoring the existence of the Holy Spirit, or having Him present all the time, but as a magical force, not knowing that He is Sovereign God. I am sure that after reading this book it will be easier for you to have a true relationship with Him."
- Manuel Reaño, master in Theology, pastoral counselor and former rector of the Biblical Seminary of Colombia

"Geoffrey Thomas is deeply rooted in biblical truth and is rightly wary of experiences that are not unbreakably tied to the Bible. I hope this important meditation on the Spirit reaches a wide audience because there is much biblical wisdom here."
- Michael Haykin, Professor of Church History and Biblical Spirituality, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
