Santiago wakes up thinking about work. When you arrive at the office, your heart races and, in the midst of so much activity and excitement, the day flies by. He lives to work.

Catalina 's heart deflates when she sits at her workplace. He gets ready to endure another nine hours. Just think about the weekend and the next holiday. She works to live.

Which of them do you identify with the most? How do you think about your work? In this book you will discover how the gospel (the good news of what Jesus did for us) transforms the way we understand work. Are you experiencing a complex situation at work? Gospel-centered work understands the difficult realities we face and addresses them in ways that are clear , direct , and relevant to the real world in which we live.

recommendations

"I am grateful for the clarity of Tim Chester's thinking in the way he thinks work can be used for the glory of the Lord, as when he says that, instead of inviting people to take time off work to serve more in the church and in the community, the work they do gives them a great opportunity to bless other people and it can be a mistake to reduce their intensity of hours, since it is through their work that they show love for others and can point them to the Lord "The point is that we need to think clearly and plan a way in which we can best serve the Lord in our context."
-Andy Robinson, Pastor of Woody Road Baptist Church
