Why do Christians – even mature Christians – still sin so much? Why doesn't God free us from that? More and more we become aware of sin in our lives and wonder if God is disappointed with our lack of progress. Where are the joy and peace that we read about in the Bible?

Barbara Duguid directs us to the writings of John Newton to teach us God's purpose for our failure and guilt, and to help us adjust our expectations for this life. She honestly and empathetically reaches out to lift our gaze from our own performance to God, who is far greater than our failures – and uses them for His glory!

In this refreshing book you will rediscover God's overflowing grace that makes the gospel truly feel like good news!
