If salvation is from God and not because of something good in us, how can we have responsibility for our destiny?

This topic provokes strong discussions among Christians. Unfortunately, differences in theological perspective have led to divisions and controversies that do not always reflect the Christian ideal of brotherly love.

This book presents those perspectives with love and a desire to reflect their legitimate concerns. The starting point of this study is what is called Reformed Theology. The purpose is not to defend theologians like Augustine, Luther or Calvin, but to analyze the biblical and theological basis of their doctrine.

recommendations

"This doctrine of the sovereignty of God should not diminish the emphasis we place on man's responsibility; it should not distract us from our responsibility to preach the gospel, which is the means by which man is saved. We live in this world as if everything depended on us, knowing that everything depends on Him."
- Theo Donner, Professor of Torah and Old Testament in the New Testament
from the Biblical Seminary University Foundation of Colombia and author of The Text that Interprets the Reader and Postmodernity and Faith
